Tulungagung Regency is located 154 km southwesternly from Surabaya. It is about geographycal 1110 43’ – 1120 07’ East Longitudinal and 70 51’ -080 18’South Latitude, devided into 19 subdistricts, 257 villages, 14 political district administrered by the lurah, 1830 administrative unit at the next-to-lowest level in city, and 6239 neighborhood association. Gondang subdistrict has 20 villages, the most amount than others. While Tanggunggunung subdistrict has the fewest amount, only 7 villages.
The boundary of administrative Tulungagung Regency are Kediri Regency on north, Blitar Regency on east, Indonesia ocean on south, and Trenggalek Regency on west. This regency is 1.150,41 km2 width and less than 500 m height from surface.
But there are some villages in Pagerwojo ang Sendang subdistrict which have more than 500m height from surface. There are 4 subdistricts which have more than 100 km2 width. Those are Tanggunggunung, Kalidawir, Pagerwojo, and Sendang subdistrict.
